| TEAM DEVELOPMENT SERVICES: gothamCULTURE was engaged by the Vice President of Customer Service of a global organization to align her leadership team. The team was comprised of 13 members, including three senior directors and ten managers, and at the time of initial contact with gothamCULTURE, it had been suffering from low morale, decreased productivity, and a lack of understanding of how day-to-day actions supported the big picture. Initial information was collected through face-to-face interviews, conference calls, and focus groups. gothamCULTURE then developed a series of interventions over a twelve month period focused on individual awareness—including aspects like personal style and giving and receiving feedback—and team dynamics, such as group norms and expectations management. Clear group norms and strategic objectives, team infrastructure, and effective communication avenues were put into place. As a result of this intervention, turnover decreased by 30 percent, employee satisfaction increased by 37 points per the annual climate survey, and efficiencies were gained resulting in $370,000 in cost savings within one year. | ||||
